Florida Truck Accident

I-4 crash victim still in critical condition

One crash victim was moved out of critical care but another remains critically injured in the wake of a traffic accident Sunday morning on I-4.

Witnesses told police that Craig Stuart Walk, a 28-year-old Longwood resident, was driving at a high rate of speed when he approached the South Street overpass on Interstate 4 at about 1:10 a.m. Sunday.

Walk lost control of the truck and went into the other lane, striking another vehicle before he hit the concrete barrier wall, Orlando Police said. The truck rolled several times, ejecting Walk and the passenger in the truck, 27-year-old Alexis Fabian Hebbeler, of Orlando.

Walk was in stable condition this morning at Orlando Regional Medical Center. Hebbeler was in stable but critical condition.

The driver and passenger in the other vehicle were not injured, police said.

Charges are pending.
