I-94 Truck Accident Leaves Semi-Truck Driver Dead

A fatal accident in Paw Paw Township left one Detroit man dead over the weekend. 34-year-old Omar Simmons was driving eastbound on I-94 when his steel hauler slammed into a slowing semi-truck Friday. Simmons' truck then rolled off the roadway, throwing him from the cab of the truck. Troopers pronounced Simmons dead at the scene. Police closed the interstate while workers removed debris. The other driver was not injured.
