Logging Truck Accident

Logging Truck Accident Closes Highway 70

Highway 70 is back open after a logging truck accident closed the road for most of Monday afternoon. The accident happened around 3pm Monday, near the Rock Creek Power House. Witnesses say an eastbound logging truck rolled over, dumping its load of logs and spilling about 150 gallons of diesel fuel. Haz-mat teams had to clean up the spilled fuel before the road could reopen. The accident was finally cleaned up about three and a half hours later. The driver reportedly suffered minor injuries.
