Stephen Cooper of Pilot Grove was seriously injured Friday, Dec. 12, following a wreck on Highway 41 about 1.5 miles east of Hardeman.

Cooper, hauling grain while heading south in a 1995 International truck, went off the right side of the road, causing his vehicle to overturn at 11:20 a.m., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Cooper was trapped in his vehicle until rescue crews arrived.

After EMTs loaded him into an ambulance, Cooper waited for a helicopter in front of a nearby home. He was transported by the helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia.

Cooper was wearing a seatbelt, the report states.

His vehicle was totaled, according to the report.
