Pickup Truck, Two Tractor-Semitrailers Crash Kills Michigan Man

Michigan Tractor-Trailer Accident

ALLEGAN -- A Holland-area man was killed Monday after his pickup truck struck two tractor-semitrailers in Allegan County, police said.

Eric Brian Galasinski, 34, was northbound on M-40 just south of M-89 in Valley Township at 5:05 p.m. when his pickup truck apparently drifted across the centerline, struck the side of a semi and then hit the right front of the second semi, the Allegan County Sheriff's Office said.

Galasinski's vehicle came to rest on the side of the road. The first semi that the pickup struck rolled and spilled its load. The second semi was empty at the time of the crash. Police said Galasinski was not wearing a seat belt.

Police said the semi drivers -- 47-year-old John Kevin Ohl, of Nescopeck, Pa., and 20-year-old Ross Allen Timmerman, of Hamilton -- were wearing seat belts and suffered "very minor" injuries.
