Pennsylvania Truck and Bus Accident

CONNELLSVILLE, Pa. -- A serious crash involving a school bus occurred in Fayette County Friday afternoon.

Police said four students were on board, but none suffered any serious injuries.

The accident occurred when the bus collided with a coal truck on Route 119 in Bullskin Township.

The force of the accident ripped the engine right out of the front of the bus.

There were reports that the bus caught fire after impact, but the flames were put out quickly with a fire extinguisher.

One of the four students was taken to Frick Hospital as a precaution. The other three are okay.

The bus driver was not as lucky. He was loaded onto a stretcher and flown to a Pittsburgh hospital.

A Channel 11 crew is on scene and will report the latest information.
