Truck Accident on I-77

SURRY COUNTY, N.C. - An accident on Interstate 77 North in Surry County leaves a Florida man dead.

The accident happened around 2 a.m. Saturday near mile marker 83 and involved a pick-up truck and a tractor trailer. The victim, a 26 year old male, was driving the pick-up truck and has not yet been identified.

The driver of the tractor trailer was transported to Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, where his condition is stable.

The accident is still under investigation by North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
